Hi all

Long story but got the 18k Omega Seamaster back today

got a extra £300.00 knocked off the price

I'm taking to the local retailers tomorrow to be sent to Omega for a full service etc.

What would you guys do about the dial and hands leave it original or get them replaced

We can only give opinions based on our preferences based on the photos posted. The real question can only be answered by you. Will you be happy wearing the watch in its current condition or would you rather spend some more money to have the dial and hands replaced to make it closer to factory original condition?

For what it's worth, if the cost of replacement hands and dial was over £750, I'd leave them alone for now and see if you can appreciate it as it currently is.

I'd be inclined to keep it original and not restore. At least not yet. But, as previously stated, that is 100% personal preference.

I think it's literally been decades since I've had a gold watch. Congrats - looks great!

what is remarkably weired is that the lume dots patina'd into "gold" 😁

not my cup of tea (esp. dial) - but i'd keep it for that very reason ...

Love the way the dial has aged, interesting the hands didn't follow suit. I'd leave them as is.

I wouldn't replace any parts and I also would not have it polished
