A bit of perspective... I'll be going to the Rio Olympics... So I started looking at the commemorative 'Rio Models'...

Which brings us to the Bull Head... and the Mark 2..

The deign of either would be a welcome addition to my collection, as I have nothing like either currently..

The problem is... as I look at these models... the Non-Rio ones seem to speak to me more...

But as it is... it's down to 4...





or... this one... a compromise..

That Mark II is kind of dressy...compared to the racing dial re-issue.

 

go for 2, le LE Bullhead, your wrist is large enough for this one. I tried it but doesn't fit me. And for evening, the Speed II gold and Steel. You could even wear it on a brown NATO .. .

 

The pics posted.by @meganfox17 are the first ones where I actually got to like the bullhead

 

Are you going to the Rio Olympics as a spectator or in some professional capacity? This could lean things one way or the other on opinions and if one may be more apropos while there.

 

A agree but if the OP is traveling there and wants something to commemorate his vacation... But I'm with you there is a reason the Olympic special editions don't sell out.

 

My advice is don't wear anything in Rio, that looks like it is worth more than $10... Any even modestly nice watch will be seen and targeted. And there are lots of kids with guns and knives,

My Wife is German, but grew up in Mexico city, a city very similar to Rio in terms of the levels of violent street crime - When we are there, I wear an old, but serviceable Seiko......

Plus, we're probably going to be at the omega-house for most of it... So I think going watchless is not an option...

 

I would go with roulette bullhead if i had to, but to be honest i would not buy any of LE Rio Omegas. Sorry for not helping much

 

Personally, I find the roulette numbering to be visually distracting to the point of annoyance. If you think your collection can accommodate yet another Speedmaster, then go for the Mark II. Otherwise, the Rio Bullhead -- a watch that I'd certainly wear with pride.

 

I vote roulette as well.

 

Don't buy anything just yet.
Instead take the money. Find a casino. Place it on Red.
When it comes in then you can buy both.

(I have a number of friends that gamble. They always tell me what bets have won and how lucky they are. Yet I never hear of any bets placed that lose. So with this theory in mind you surely cant lose).

Alternatively ignore the well thought out response and go for the roulette bullhead!

 

Somebody mentioned they only make 316 pieces. --That's because they're only going to sell 200.

Afraid I have always personally disliked the modern incarnation of the Bullhead, compared to the original

IMHO, It looks like 'My First Watch' for a child.....the Rio version, even more so.....Tempted to wonder, if it comes with it's own 'colouring in' book?

( I suppose they had to find a marketing option, to get rid of all the cases they failed to sell, first time round )

Besides - Limited edition watches are always spectacularly discounted, post hype.

Perhaps, one of the many different, (endless), permutations of the Modern Speedmaster..........There must be one, you do not already possess ?
