Hi guys, something that is on my list for quite some time is the original Longines pilot watch which was issued for the Czech Airforce before WW2. Yesterday I stumbled upon an example which looks fantastic on first view, but is somewhat suspicious to me on closer inspection. This one: https://www.uhrenworld.com/de/uhren...e-majetek-tartarugone-fliegeruhr#lg=1&slide=0 What makes me suspicious here: - Overall much to clean for a 1940s army watch - Orientation of "Majetek...." engraving correct? (all other examples on the web have it turned by 90 degrees from "lug to lug") - Subdial print, the"1" should be "I", "6" should be open - Anti Magnetique font, the "Q" is different from all others I saw - Can't say anything about the puffy lume on the dial except that it matches quite well with the hand's lume - Rotatable index (12 oclock) in red? I asked the dealer about it's originality, well he believes everything is original including the lume... What do you think about it?
Dial is not original. Sub-dial design is wrong. Below is a comparison. The other image was taken from this thread: https://omegaforums.net/threads/longines-majetek-thread.12948/
