Interested as to your thoughts on this piece? The inscription on the back turns me off a bit. Is the piece worth looking beyond that? The seller is describing it as 1954 but i can't see anything to evidence that. What do you think?

If I bought it, it would be for the movement only. Lugs have splitting in the gold fill and I junk cases like that

Too me. it's a movement purchase only and not worth a 3rd of the asking price

    Stay away from it.

Movement dates from 1954-55 with a 14 million serial number. Dial looks to be original. Case has been polished so hard it looks like a melted ice cube. As a result, it is worn through in spots.

    Price is way too high.

I can add only one thing:
    DON and gatorcpa are correct.
    Glad I could help.
