I actually got one of those myself recently. It is a Dennison 13308 cased 501 model, as he says from 1956-7. It is a genuine model and has a hallmark on one of the lugs (you can just make it out) and inside the caseback. That dial is suspiciously clean so may have been refinished. but the text looks OK. The price is on the high side. I would want it under a grand, particularly since there is no mention of a service.

Terribly overpriced. I wouldn't even pay half of the asking price, and that is IF the dial is original. It's hard to make out from the low res photos, but I am leaning towards it being a redial.
The case looks to have seen the polishing wheel a bit too much as well.

18k price for a 9k watch with hands the wrong length, so either they or the dial aren't right. Did you check the seller's other offerings? They include this one, also ludicrously priced and with an uncannily similar dial, which should tell you something:

It tells you both are redials. Mine, which is original has the same hands but a minute track closer in like you would expect from a 50s Omega. The grand asking price for the plated one is laughable. Like you say, the OP watch is 9K for 18K money, maybe more even than that.

Thanks all. I’ll stay away from that. Was only mildly interested because it was a birth year watch and (allegedly) the same age as me.

You only have his word for that. The Birmingham hallmark ran July to June not Jan-Dec up until 1974 so for instance if that watch has a G hallmark (like mine) then it could be late 1956 but equally could be early 1957. A H hallmark would indicate 1957-58. Likewise the serial number is only an approx guide, early 15m would likely be '56, mid-late 15m would be more like 1957 but without and extract (and presumably he hasn't got one) you are making educated guesses really. Based on observations of other extracted Omegas and other hallmarked ones I have plumped for late 1956 for my 15.04m Omega Den 13308 but it is not an exact science.

He sent me these pictures and confirmed he has no evidence of a service.

Ok H hallmark and 15.6m serial probably is late 1957. It is still overpriced by a factor of 2 though lol.
