I believe the 1171 is correct for my watch? Opinions on this item and the price?
1171/1 is the service / later version of the 1171, so I'd wait for a period correct 1171 to pop up if your 145.022 is an older model
In that case you're after option 1 or 2 from this thread https://omegaforums.net/threads/different-type-of-1171-omega-speedmaster-bracelet.52179/ A 1039 could be equally era appropriate - a lot more pricey though
Thank you for that thread. This one looks like a 1171 variant https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/new-Rare...791167?hash=item3d6550ad7f:g:dCsAAOSwglVaBy3sPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
Hi @neilbardsley ! If it's an early -69 you'd want either an 1039 or what I believe is the first itteration of the 1171 with the raised omega logo on the clasp. The 1171 with the omega logo in the trapezoid came after that. Maybe there was some overlap. Have a look at this thread too: https://omegaforums.net/threads/fro...ge-seamaster-and-speedmaster-bracelets.45883/ Cheers, Max Edit: the last ebay link you posted shows a newer 1171 bracelet. Note that the inscription in the clasp is laser etched and not stamped in. Also the 32 in a circle is a giveaway. It should be an 11 in a circle if I'`m not completely mistaken. The endlinks are also new service replacements, period correct 633's dont have a cut out and should look like this: (pic taken from the web)
Hello Neil. This replacement bracelet was fitted to my 1960's, pre-moon, Speedmaster in the early 1970's. According to Mstanga's bracelet chart, it is correct for a 145.022, and I'm hoping to get a 145.022 to wear it with. I think it's the type you are looking for. Good luck with your search. It's "rattling" as I type this message @BatDad.
Thank you for the replies. This one looks correct https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vintage-...531961?hash=item1caada8539:g:L20AAOSwR8haaQDdPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network but not in great condition?
Yes, this would be a period correct bracelet. Notice the stamping inside the clasp, trapezoid omega logo, 11 in a circle and original 633 endlinks. BUT, as you pointed out, the condition is really not that great and 550€ is a lot of money. Have patience in the bracelet game. The 1171‘s do come up for sale quite often on eBay. I paid 580€ last summer for a NOS 1171 just to give u some perspective. There is no need to pay a premium for a worn 1171. Cheers, Max
