Also this one, but it looks like someone used a crayon for the markers! :p

I like the memovox and want to bid. But alas, seller says only shipping within the States.

What us the centre sub-dial on the first watch, with the arrow pointing to the 9 o'clock marker?

That's to set the alarm. Something like this.

From JLC, they are called the Memovox. The one that Kyle posted makes an audible ring and mine buzzes. The top crown sets and winds up the alarm and the botttom crown, the time. They are the favourite line of watches from my favourite brand. And there is also the Vulcain Cricket. Hope this helps a little.

The Memovox is a redial and probably has replacement crowns. The triple date had the numerals lumed at some point but otherwise looks original.

Should have spotted the missing Ts. Did JLC ever make any dials with the chapter ring around the minute markers? Or were they just due to the redialler's imagination?

This is an earlier manual wind Memovox from the 50's, either a caliber 489 or 814 of some sort. It wouldn't have the T's.

Yes, the case references from the 315x series had them. What tipped me off is the outside chapter ring nearly touches the markers. There was a noticeable gap on original dials.

Does it cost much more to service a memovox? I have heard it is not as easy to souce for parts, is that true? Have always wanted to start collecting them but these concerns are holding me back
