I am considering a purchase and wanted to take advantage of the vast experience and expertise here to make sure its a good one. It is a ca. 610 from the sixties. The seller claims original unrestored dial, hands, and crown and everything else original except the glass and band.

Was a bit concerned at first that the “S” in Seamaster was normal, but I see some models on the Omega site with this font. Does anyone know if this type is more rare than the typical font?

Type the case ref from the inside back into Google and search Images.

Yes, did this...its also how I came to the Omega site to find the reference. Not concerned about it anymore.

Ok.....you'd be surprised (or maybe not) how many people don't!

Looks very nice to me too, good crisp case and lugs, correct hands and still has its Tritium lume dots. Lovely clean movement dating to 1964, and really clean unmarked dial with absolutely correct Seamaster script for the time. What’s not to like...
