I haven't seen any threads about Ophion.

Seems like some nice detail for a 2k watch (shown is a OPH-786).

Had a look at the web site. They certainly need to clean up the spelling and grammar on the site, and honestly seeing that doesn’t inspire confidence.

Also a little concerned about the details of the ordering process, and although I can’t say for sure it almost looks like they need enough preorders to fund a production run. Reminds me almost of a kickstarter type deal.

Styles are decent, although design elements are lifted from other makers. Movement is reworked with custom bridges, so looks nice but not sure about parts availability.

Overall looks nice, but I think I would hesitate to put money down...

    Cheers, Al

lug width is 20mm. But you asked lug to lug distance. My mistake. How do you measure that? It’s a 39mm diameter watch. So i measure from one end of tear drop lug to the other?

Thank you! That's great news for me, everything under 48mm lug to lug works on my wrist.

Well, since you mention Timex, @schoolboy posted his, similar to this web photo. I thought it looked pretty good.

Probably more likely to buy one of these than an Ophion (hope I spelled it right)

You're right that the website needed some works. Regarding the parts scarcity, do you think these are very difficult to source? I believe they come from Soprod - from what the site says. I've seen a few reviews (wornandwound etc - like the pics posted by the OP) so I'm inclined to give them a little benefit of doubts. We'll see, I supposed to have the one like @pongster coming soon (1-2 weeks) hopefully I'll be able to enjoy it and not an in/out piece.

With any small brand, parts supply should be a question you ask about. Do they intend to keep spare parts at all? If so for how long? Who will have access to them?

Not just movement parts, but things like crowns, crystals, dials, or hands...
