Will post more pictures as it is absolutely not refinished. This is an honest to goodness barn find. I know since high level refinishing is an option in these days and times it may seem unusual to come across a sport watch in original condition but I assure you it does happen watch has never even been serviced let alone aesthetically refinished
Thanks gang. Haven’t had a chance to take pics today but will tomorrow. It’s definitely not a refinished case. True barn find here
Took a few minutes with the scope and my phone camera to snap a couple pics of the case edges, dial and movement. Can’t say I’ve seen another one of these around in such all around honest good condition. Pics below:
Do you have another pic of the Omega logo in the crystal? Shouldn't it be a narrow one to be original? On the pic it looks like a "fat" one. Other than that....great find!
Thanks everyone! Can anyone recommend a reliable watchmaker in the USA to trust this to? I would like it to be serviced, mechanically only. Have the case and bracelet steam cleaned and all new gaskets installed. I know a few that ive used in the past but perhaps the group can suggest someone timely and skilled. Kelly Hunter in the Portland area was recommended but his turnaround time can be quite long.
Nice pics. Color of hands and indexes is great. Did you notice the beginning of the serial? I wasn't able to read in you picture. Is it a 28...?
Superb... now post some more pictures and probably some of us might go again for a vintage PreMoon Speedy next year
Congrats in your find! Great looking piece Wondering if you mind to share how much you paid for? Thanks
