Opinions on a Tissot Navigator

I have an opportunity to pick up this black-dialed Tissot Navigator.

Based upon all the other examples I've found online, the dial and hands look original and the case looks lightly polished, but in reasobable, honest condition.

Overall, the case and bezel are rough, but the dial and hands look quite nice and I like the colour of the lume.

The seller says it's running +25/-15, so it's definitely in need of a service.

I've noticed a number of forum members own variations of this watch. I'm hoping you wouldn't mind chiming in on your opinion of value/condition of this example. Is there any quirks I should be aware of with this model?

Wrist shots, together with an indication of your wrist size would also be welcome as I won't be able to try this on in person.

If @Archer sees this, I'd appreciate your input on the look of the movement.

    Cheers and many thanks.

I suppose you found this thread: https://omegaforums.net/threads/first-chronograph-tissot.56131/
Mine is off at the watchmakers for a service, $500, so factor that in.
I paid under $500 for mine posted earlier this year. My case looks better, but your's has a date & less worn bezel.

I liked wearing mine, it is a good size.

    Thanks @michael22 !

That is one of the posts I saw when doing my research... funny that's I missed it the first time around- I love the variety of dials these thing came with and I especially like the way yours has patinated!

What shape was your movement in when you had it serviced? Did your watchmaker have to source a lot of replacement parts?

I didn't ask about parts. Probably should have, but I was expecting a price like that, & the price for another watch actually shocked me.
The Tissot was working perfectly, but the case back was solidly stuck. If it needed more than the usual seals I'm sure they would have said.
I'm an Aussie, so this is all Aussie dollars, by the way.

@michael22 $500 seems very reasonable for a full service, especially if parts were replaced. I've built that into the price I'm paying, so all should be okay. I'm in Canada, so our dollars are fairly close to one another.

Thanks for the info! I'd be curious to know how yours performs when it gets back to you.
