I just bought a ref 145.034 GP. I saw it on ebay, like it enough to put a bid. Didnt expect to win but i did. I got it for slightly above 1k. The problem is the watch is not in as good condition as the seller described IMO. Here is what the seller posted. THIS IS A MENS VINTAGE AND EXTREMELY RARE OMEGA SPEEDMASTER PROFESSIONAL MARK II WATCH. ITS FROM A PRIVATE COLLECTION AND IN EXCELLENT RUNNING CONDITION. IT COMES WITH ORIGINAL GOLD TONE SWISS MADE OMEGA SPEEDMASTER PROFESSIONAL MARK II CASE WITH ORIGINAL OMEGA SPEEDMASTER BACK. THE BAND IS LEATHER. THE ORIGINAL GOLD TONE CASE IS IN GREAT CONDITION SHOWING LESS THAN NORMAL SCUFFS FOR A WATCH OF ITS AGE. AS YOU CAN SEE ITS A BEAUTY. IT DOES HAVE A SMALL DING ON EDGE OF FRONT CASE BELOW THE 6:00 POSITION. THE CRYSTAL SHOWS SOME MINOR WEAR THAT WOULD BE CONSIDERED LESS THAN NORMAL FOR AGE. THE ORIGINAL FACE DIAL IS FLAWLESS. Here r the pics for ur consideration. As u can see there r more dings n oxidation of the plating than described. Also one of the chrono pushers has lost all the plating. Am i too picky? Did i get it at a good price? Should i return it? All opinions r appreciated.
Depends on what the 1k is. £, $US, $AUS, Baht? I don't think it looks too bad, dial, hands and inner bezel are lovely
Personally I think its a cracking watch. I like it a lot. If were talking USD i think its a good price.
Yes but the pics from seller did not try to expose those flaws such as side view to show the plating lost of the chrono pusher, or the scratches on the case back etc. if im the seller i would try my best to show every flaws so no doubt u r getting exactly the same watch.
mention the chrono to the seller maybe they will refund some cash to buy a new one. But I still think its a very nice watch.
change out the pusher and its a keeper....... or tpatta will purchase it...... (what a sacrifice.... but thats what friends are for.)
