My wife got me this watch a while ago and is now just giving it me. The reason for the delay is she couldn't find a link for the watch so it would actually fit me. She has finally given up searching and now I have watch. I think I only need one link for it to fit so I will carry on with her search.
This is my first omega and I'm not really up to speed on dating them and determining condition. Im 99% positive its real so I'm not asking that but I do believe it is not original. I haven't had the nerve to take the back off myself but my wife had the numbers written down when she first got it. It's got 2 sets of numbers which I'm assuming is the production one and the other is an older service when parts were swapped. The first is 196.0177 and the other is 396.0897. I can't read the serial number unless I use a magnifying glass.
I'm pretty sure it's a 1977 which she says it and is the reason she bought it. It's my birth year. I believe the dial has been changed as its not as perfect as I think an omega should be but I'm no expert. The band seems real enough and proving impossible to find links for. It's number is 1315/351.

Anyway, let me know what I'm looking at. Any help in pointing me towards an extra link or 2 would be greatly appreciated as well.

So what am I looking at with the 2 serial numbers? The first one reads out to be pretty close to what I . The second one doesn't really make sense when I start breaking it down using the serial number list.
Can anyone recommend me a source to try for a few extra links for the bracelet?
