I recently took delivery of this Omega 2577 that was recommended from eBay. My excitement however dipped when I noticed the applied “Omega” logo looked askew compared to the listing photo. The first two photo are after receiving the watch and last is from the listing. Are my eyes playing tricks or did the logo possibly come loose during transit?

It looks more askew now, but also comes down to camera angle. If it did shift, isn’t it easy to adjust?

Congrats on the purchase. Beautiful watch. Does the omega "right leg" no longer have any clearance from the crosshair when you hold the watch at a slight angle? If not, looks like your eyes aren't deceiving you. I see what you're saying. However, it did look a little crooked from the seller photos to begin with.

The right leg does clear the crosshair by a little when viewing at an angle from the left via a loupe. I haven’t seen enough of these on a waffle background but certainly would be dismayed if the current logo position wasn’t born with the watch.

Idk, if you think you've replicated the angle of the seller photo though, it does look like it skewed more. Now what to do...?

Assuming you can just by nudging it carefully, how do you prevent it from reoccurring?

I've had hour markers adjusted by my watchmaker, I think sometimes they are rotating on a single pin? Not sure if the logo has one, or more, points of contact. I would think a competent watchmaker can adjust and tighten as necessary....

No shadows nor disruption of the guilloche pattern around the logo can be seen under loupe. My watchmaker also doesn’t see anything suspicious. Factory variation ::confused2::

I wonder if the logo has shifted on its single pin which might be top middle?

    She is a beauty!

I believe there’s a pin on each leg of the logo.

I had to adjust an applied logo once. It had two pins. It is rare into record, but they can become loose. Not to hard to adjust though.
