    I am a fan of MkII's.

this one needs a service a new glass.

Also the case, in my opinion, needs refinishing. STS in UK have the special machine to do it, others may too.......but it needs the machine, otherwise don't bother. A polished MkII looks horrible. It needs the sunburst finish. image.jpg
Here is a before and after....well almost....it's two watches but one is pre the other post.

yours looks fine for restoration. All depends on price

That's a very attractive price. Racing dial Mark 2 sold in USD 1500 - 2000 depend on the condition.
Even with service and part it would still consider good price. The movement is cal 861 IIRC so parts relatively readily available

Ok guys, the seller send me is bank account .. it s from Spain ... And there is a lot of "rip off" expérience in france with that .... so ... The low price and the strange attitude of the seller make me think it s a good rip of too ...

    Really sorry for that !!! But i save 420 £ :)

    thanks for all

No paypal? Not good sign...... Good move to stay away. The price is too good to be true.
I've been lured into that kind of scheme like 5 times in past year. Thank God, escaped all, most with the help of forum friends here.

Yep, i m really dumb to think i can get a racing at this price ... But the most important is that i figure that before the payment ;-)

Don't worry about feeling dumb. Even experienced collectors get pulled into these occasionally ::stirthepot::

    No problem.

If a few people give a little bit of time, so one person saves money and a lot of others learn about a scam, then it's good for everyone.
