    Hello all,

Some months ago, I bought this nice 1675 that I like very much (especially the patina). The watch was exactly in this condition when I bought it. As I am more focused on Omega, I am clearly not a specialist on Rolex. So I would like to have your opinion on it.
Serial is 3.026 millions, caseback II 71. Bracelet 78360 with 480 EL. Case is very very dirty but very sharp with strong chamfers (polished or not ?). Dial is perfect, all scratches and dust are on the glass.
Crown is dead and need to be changed.
From what i learned, it's a mk2 dial, bracelet is wrong and should be a 7836 with 280 EL. Insert seems correct.

    Thanks in advance !!

Looks like a great piece. It is as you mentioned an MK2, which is period correct for a 3MM serial. The chamfers are quite pronounced which makes me believe it's been either recut/polished, or it's a Buckley cut (can't tell from the pics.) The bracelet is from a later period as it could have come with a 7836.

Only worrisome item is the gunk on the rotor. I would get the watch cleaned and serviced thoroughly.

    Enjoy!

    Damn what a nice condition!

Really like it, however I do think that the case had been recut which is to me no problem at all..

Some intrusion at the seal too. You've got to get this thing cleaned up.

What a gorgeous watch. Nothing more to add since all points have been covered. But I agree movement needs to be serviced asap.

Thanks a lot for all answers !
Of course I will send the watch for a full service as soon as possible.

@ATWG : When you tell "Buckley cut", you mean Bexley maybe ?
@sxl2004 : I thought lume for Rolex of this period don't glow, for you it should glow ?

About the end links, it's necessary 280 with the 7836 bracelet for this 1675 ? (380 are not correct isn't it ? I'm not sure...)
    Thanks

The watch is in safe, so impossible to check now... but I believe to have already test the lume and it didn't glow in my mind.

    Very nice wtach, congratulations.
    I have 280 end-links on a 7836 bracelet on 72' 1675 and it is perfect. I don't know about 380 end-links.

Lovely watch, are the dust particles on the dial or the crystal ?
