I am new to this forum and i'm looking for my first seamaster.
What is a fair price for this one. And can some one give me some start tips. I'm new to the watch market, and are just starting of. Any opinions?

    The description says:
recently pressure tested and replaced seals

The watch appears to be original and in a wearable, but not great condition due to the aging dial and soft-edge case. For price, you can search the sold transactions on eBay for similar watch, starting with the case reference number 14704.

    Good luck!

Hi and welcome. If you're to buy one of those models, IMO you should look at least for one with a perfect dial. It's way smarter to pay the premium for an excellent example than to take the cheaper but inferiour (in condition) one. The excellent one will win in the long run.

I think you can have an excellent Seamaster 552 60ies with BOR bracelet for around USD 700

Thank you for good answers. I may let that one go. I was able to buy it for 410 USD, but i'll definatly prefere a better condition.

410 is a great price. The bracelet is worth ~$200 by itself. While it isn't THE BEST watch, it do it for that price.

While I agree in general, at an early stage it doesn't hurt to buy cheaply, in order to experiment, try different styles, etc.

Speaking personally, I would prefer a very good original dial to a re-paint! And I am not certain that I would always be able to determine if a well done re-paint was original or not. An aged look only comes with time. I have a number of watches that some would say need to have the dials done. But I have only ever had one dial re-done on a watch I have kept. And that one belongs to my spouse.

Thank you so much for good inputs.
What do you guys think of this pease. Desciption says: Battery has newly been changed, and also pressure tested.
Compared to the watches on ebay i think it is kind of expensive. Price is: 1203 USD
But it is in pretty good condition. ?
