My grandfather's gift for New York City when he retired from their police dept in 1943. Love the watch but the dial looks like a bad redial. It is hard to imagine my grandfather having it redialed, as he never had much money, and was unlikely to have even had it serviced. But the lettering is so off for the "Longines," and the lines so uneven, I cannot believe it would have come out originally this way. Any opinions on whether it is a redial or original.?
