I regularly see examples of Rancheros without broad arrow hands, but the Omega website indicates that the 2990 was "Mat black or mat silvered, with luminous hour markers and "broad arrow" luminous hands". Anyone know if the Ranchero also came other style hands (if the Omega site description is for just a subset of all 2990s?)

    Totally unrelated...
I see the mix of black and white Rancheros about 50-50 when searching the web. Is there information on the actual mix (and total made)?

    Thanks all-

Yes, Rancheros (both the 2990 and 2996) switched to Dauphine hands in the later years around 1959-60(?)

Gotcha, thanks. I have read the Ranchero's were made in 57-58 and sold in 58-59.
Anyone out there with Dauphine hands willing to share their SN? I'm guessing maybe started in the 17xx range?
    Thanks-
