One watch, two straps...

First post and hoping that one of you can point me in the right direction - bit of back-story before the question:

I've been agonising for 18 months about what 'proper' watch i should get - happily the solution seems to have presented itself when I was least expecting it...

My parents decided that my recent 'landmark' birthday was the right time to send my grandfathers 1959/60 Seamaster cal520 to Christian at 'watchguy.co.uk' to be given some love before passing it onto me to look after.

This watch was purchased by my grandmother for my grandfather because at the time it was one of the few watches which offered a level of waterproof comfort making it ideal for sailing. Apparently he was constantly late coming home as he didn't know the time was and he would often get into trouble because of that!

The work carried out was just perfect, keeping all the character and stories intact whilst making it accurate for the foreseeable future; a few photos for you 'case open' junkies! (credit: watchguy.co.uk)

This was given to me in a presentation case from WatchGuy and they even managed to find a photograph from around 1963 with my Grandfather in a dinghy with the watch - a smashing story.

This is a lovely watch to cherish and to wear for formal occasions, but its just a bit to valuable to me from an emotional perspective to wear everyday, particularly with the normal waterproof concerns of a vintage watch.

Roll on to present day, I now have a little boy and I got thinking that it would be great to have a modern version of this cal520 for him to look after one day and for me to wear everyday. The choice became clear; a Seamaster Aqua Terra 41mm. This will act as a nod to my Grandfather whilst at the same time being a solid modern choice for everyday wear.

I would like to purchase the watch with both the official metal bracelet and the official rubber strap so that I can swap when I like, now comes the question - I've heard that it may be more cost effective to buy it on the rubber strap and order the bracelet separately which is counter intuitive in my eyes.

Can anyone help me with the Omega part number for the bracelet which is sold on the 220.10.41.21.01.001 version of this watch and/or the rubber strap and any inserts needed for the rubber strap which is sold on the 220.12.41.21.01.001 so I can work out which option is

Not sure on a specific part number maybe call an AD? When you buy definitely buy on the bracelet and add the strap better savings.

Love the bracelet looks like the bracelet on old Speedmasters. Reckon it'd fit a modern Moonwatch
