I've been offered what I believe is 212.30.41.20.03.001, a Bond Seamaster, but without the wave dial.

It appears to be identical in every way to 2220.80.00, the same watch but with the wave dial.

Are these really two iterations of the same watch?

If so, I prefer the one with the simpler dial . . .

It's part of Seamaster Pro Ceramic. I believe it is the latest iteration of the 'Bond' line.

The 2220.80 doesnt have a cereamic bezel, while the 212.30.41.20.03.001 does have a ceramic bezel.

Both are cal 2500. However, the 212.30.41.20.03.001 is going to be the 2500D. One of the reasons I went for the 212.30.41.20.03.001 over the 2220.80 is that I couldn't work out what iteration of the 2500 it included. It definitely wasn't a 2500D, but I couldn't work out if it was a C, which I would have been OK with, or the A/B, which I didn't want.

I like the watch, but the local seller thinks his watch is stainless steal, and that it's a Planet Ocean.

When someone is that far off the beam, I tend to stay away . . .

Anyone else find this thread title disturbingly evocative?
