Dear respective members, I have recently bought my first IWC ! As my Speedy Mark II Racing posted yesterday (https://omegaforums.net/threads/one-owner-omega-speedmaster-145-014-mark-ii-racing.75083/), this IWC is a one owner watch with its original box (but no papers). The bracelet was recently changed but the original one was also provided with the watch as well as both the "rapid" gold pumps (not pictures here) and the solid gold buckle. The seller has bought the watch in the 60's and used to wear it only for very important occasions. As a result, the condition of this timekeeper is really good for its age. Sharp case with fancy lugs (lyre-type). The watch keeps accurate time. I am not very sure, but, as it's different from my yellow gold watches, I think it's made of pink gold even if the color is slightly different from my other pink gold watches... I have no idea why, but I have simply fallen in love with this watch as soon as I have seen it. It's really one of my favorite watches. Furthermore, I believe it was a bargain for the price I paid (1500€ shipped). Now, let's turn to the pictures Cheers. Dr. R.
Very nice example. I think mine is similar, although yours looks to be in better shape. I agree it's a very light pink gold color.
Dibs the Dibs?! That is very nice indeed! Love those lugs. The Cal.89s are so exquisite and yes up there with the best of the best.
I love me a classic dress watch in gold and superb condition for a nice price. Beauty! So much more fun than chasing expensive unicorns.
As a bump of this thread, the first owner has found the original papers of the watch in a drawer and has kindly sent it to me. So now it's a full set watch
Lovely watches, these IWC vintage pieces. I used to collect them, but my tastes have turned to IWC's contemporary chronographs. And by contemporary, I mean from post-1980. If I keep glancing at threads like this, I'll be wanting another of these soon!
