This just sold on a french website... Pictures are shitty but we can clearly see the raised logo, the no NASA caseback and straight lugs... Sold for 1300€ On the description the guy said he got it estimated at 2500€, I would be him I would go back have a talk to the guy who did it, with a bat !!!

Most often than not, in these cases (assuming nobody assesses the value for him) the guy understands that the value of the watch is higher than his asking based on the high number of calls he received, so either someone paid much more than 1.3k, either someone was very lucky, or the ad was disabled and it will pop up at a much higher price (personal experience)...

From those pics, I couldn't be sure it was even an Omega. The price took uncertainty into account, & was still a gamble.

I thought very early 105.003 -63 had the silver ring too.

 

Sometimes there’s informal auctions with someone offering more than asking price too.

 

I thought about that but I'm not sure as it could be a reflection on the crystal.
Plus, sometimes the black rehaut is scratched on some post 105.002 thus looks silver. Only way to know was to have better pics, look at the movement and caseback

 

The add clearly says seller will sell it to the best bidder but not under 1300€. He may have had a good surprise.
