    good morning everyone,
after barely 5 hours of sleep I woke up..and coudn't sleep again :)

Along with the watch I received 4 spare bracelet links, flatlinks obviously, but not for a 1039. Any ideas to which bracelet they belong?

Fantastic! Lego, Speedy and......the suspense is killing me!

I don't speak German...so...what about that letter of yours, what did it say?

    All the best

Und Sie haben schon die Broschüre aus der Ära  (sorry for Google translate. I'd have said 'Prospekt')

Looks like the original owner bought two Speedmasters on the same day.

Did you get any back story about this?
I doubt buying one to wear and one for the safe was a common practice before internet forum madness.

He did in fact buy two and there is a story about it! 525 CHF was the regular retail price on steel bracelet in 1972, cheaper than in Germany. The loss of the boxes is related to that circumstance :) Give me some time, need to get rid of work, wife and related things first during the next week.

The dial is great, some lumeloss but otherwise pristine.
