A little from Omega themselves, http://www.omegamuseum.com/lost-lines Perhaps not overly popular but must admit I love mine.
This is one of 2 Dynamic models Omega released in the late 1990's. The design was inspired by the watches deliver to MoD, such as the ref 2777. The time/date model is the one in your picture and in addition they released a chronograph. Here is the one I used to own: I ended up selling the watch since as it did not get much wrist time. Because of the way the watch was assembled, the crown was not in-line with the pushers and actually sat low (see picture below). This would cause the crown to dig into the wrist.
It the offset crown and pushers a result of a "stacked" movement? Similar to the Speedmaster Reduced?
Its a "stacked" design. The base is an Omega 1138 and the chronograph module is a Dubois-Depraz 2030.
Yes, modular chronographs have this characteristic - it's one quick way of knowing if a watch is fitted with one as the centerline of the pushers will be higher than the centerline of the crown. Cheers, Al
If I recall correctly, the Dynamic was also intended to be a less-expensive entry-level model to get you hooked on the brand. Tom
