Go through some of my book and what not the other day and forgot i have the Omegamania Book with the bid papers. Is this a rare book or fairly common? Thanks for the help.
After 9+ years on the bookshelf, mine is "well done" I am sure there are dozens of copies in the hands of collectors.
To my knowledge all the listings are still on the website, so pretty obsolete. And some of the listings descriptions (Speedies) are wrong.
It's probably worth as much as the last edition of the Philadelphia Bulletin in 1982 or some other novelty. ...... which is to say not much.
With some patience you may be able to buy one from ebay for USD 20 or so but mostly they cost USD 50+
I dont have an Omegamania Book but I do have a participant. Omegamania Lot 203, Speedmaster 2998-2 Then Today, upgraded with a ghost Base1000 bezel, 7077/6 transitional bracelet
Does anyone have a link to where all of the catalogue errors were discussed? 2007 was before my watch habit began. Were these errors obvious at the time or all discovered later? Thanks
http://forums.timezone.com/index.php?t=tree&goto=2595490&rid=0 This thread discusses some semantics, this was a month before the auction, just after the catalog was released. http://forums.timezone.com/index.php?t=tree&th=822108&rid=0 And here is a thread discussing the results. Chuck Maddox posts links to pdfs of the catalog and results. Much better price and more portable than the ones on eBay.
