Your father that is.
Is there a qustion here, or only showing us your watch?
Since there wasn't really a question, I think I'll show off my research skills. Based on the reference number on the back, that's a Seamaster Cosmic, 166.022. It should house a cal. 565 automatic movement. Without seeing the serial number, I'm not 100% sure, but it should be from the late 1960s. Let's see how I did: https://www.omegawatches.com/planet-omega/heritage/vintage-details/15007/
Some one here may know something about this watch besides the basics.
But... If you could tell us what you know about its history it would add a lot to the discussion.
It's a very nice looking model.
Wow really nice one!
Never seen this before, I am jealous!
Big fan of King Faisal?
Big fan of unusual dials I didn't know about before yes
Certainly a big fan of hyperbole.
Fair enough, I'll contain my excitement next time I discover something new
How about a Saddam Hussein watch? They make great stocking stuffers! And only $600! http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Vintage-Favr...699252?hash=item465b8d5334:g:cz4AAOSwEzxYaQbX
I would think that the dial would be a special order and might have on the back stamped like this:
Apparently King Faisal is popular. At least on ebay.... http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Universal-Ge...628754?hash=item465ceb3392:g:4YMAAOSwUKxYjeLD
This has been for sale for awhile where I live. A real must have for all fans of dictators....
I can't wait for a Trump Timex to show up on the 'bay
Why, you just didn't look hard enough....
Or this on watchuseek: http://forums.watchuseek.com/showthread.php?t=2019857
I know the answer is probably yes, but wonder if anyone actually has a collection of dictator dialed watches. And I'm not just talking the cheapos above, but a serious collection.
Don't the hands seem a bit small on these?
