··LemaniacFrom my private collection is a rarely seen Omega Officer ref. 2299 caliber 26.5 with a fantastic dial.
The Omega Officer model was only made for sale in the Swedish market during WW2.
While most of Europe was at war, the two neutral countries Sweden and Switzerland needed ways to keep some business running. The Swiss needed steel for their products, and Sweden needed various products to keep the economy at some speed.
The Omega Officer (defense forces) and the Omega Suverän models were made for this trade.
This watch has a donation inscription dating the watch to 1943. It is a very clean and unrestored condition. The dial is in great shape for a 70+ year old watch, and the lume on the hands and dial has aged beautifully.
The watch is in an overall very good condition. Some signs of use, but all intact.

Case: Good condition. 31x38mm without crown.16mm lug width.
Caseback: Screwdown back. Engraved with owner name and date 20.Feb.1943. It is also marked (as should be) with the Swedish words for Antimagnetic, Shockproof and Watertight.
Movement: Caliber 26,5 T3 PC. Very clean looking with no signs of corrosion or damage. Running well and keeping time ok(+30sec/day) for such an old timepiece. I have no service history on this, and a service is recommended if one intends to use it on a frequent basis.
Dial: Untouched and lovely condition black dial with radium lume Arabic numerals. Sub seconds dial, and minute markers. Exceptionally clean except for some small spots shown in the photos.
Hands: Orignal (unrestored).
Crystal: Good condition. Omega did not sign their crystals this early.
Crown: Correct style unsigned. Omega did not sign the crowns on these early watches.
Strap: New black NATO style fabric strap.
Price: EUR550 + shipment at cost. OBRO
Shipment: The watch and I are located in Norway. I will be helpful to assist in keeping import taxes at reasonable levels. Shipments may also be arranged from within the European Union (will normally be possible about once every 14-days). Only tracked shipments accepted from my side.
