Hi guys,
I just picked up a beautiful Omega watch "Fagiolino" from the 40's. It's a very rare and very nice watch. But I'm worried about the dial, it’s look redone to me . The missing of Swiss on the dial is ok for the watches from 30’s-40’s. The seconds scale does not look very clean, but it is a watch from the 40's and probably is not bad. "Omega" logo warries me most. I found several watches caliber 24,5 SC from the end of the 30's - early 40's with the same big “Omega” logo. But the "Fagiolino" watches that I found on the net have a smaller logo. What is your opinion? Original or redon?

I'm not an expert on these, but it looks like a redial. Interesting, because the patina seems authentic.

And the second hand is too long for the scale...

I think the second hand was made for a dial like this one:

Print quality says redial, sorry.

 

It should be the old redial due to the good patina. Yes, the second hand is out of minute scale and it is a good point too.

big triangle here. notch can be at 12 ,3 or 6 o`clock. depending on the re -dialer. kind regards. achim
