Just saw this on Omega's website, and I'd never seen one before...

Ref 3992.50.06 Speedmaster X-33 Special Team Edition America's Cup

    spirit_americas_cup_watches_big_0011.png

This special model was initially only produced as a series of twelve, ten of which were presented in 2002 to the defenders of the America's Cup 2003 (sponsored by Omega). Its most noticeable characteristic: no hands; it is primarily intended for timing regattas.

The weird part is the fact that its an X-33 that has had its hands removed and is purely digital, I'm guessing the reason we haven't seen them is that only the team ever received them.

A watch without hands isn't a watch, it's a display worn on the wrist with a computer chip programmed to show the time instead of some other function. Just like donut with no hole is not a donut, it's a danish - you eat both, they're similar, but not the same.

Strangest part is it still has the rotating bezel, which is useless without hands isn't it? :\

Knowing sailors, it points to the nearest bar. :D Automatic rotation depending on your location,
