I'm curious as to why this WWW has an Rg movement and it isn't mentioned in the listing...

Also, what is the difference between the dials with the flat top to the A in Omega versus the pointy top to the A?

BTW where did you see a "RG movement"? Can´t find any. It is a 30 T2 with shock protector, nothing else.

This watch is a franken. The movement in the WWW should be the 15 jewel version without the shock protection mechanism for the pivot. Also, the vast majority of WWW supplied to the MoD have a serial number that starts with 102XXXX. The crown is incorrect and the dial is redone (or perhaps a fake - I cannot tell from the pictures if the subdial is on the same level of the dial).

    That's a gorgeous watch.

I've been staring at the pictures in the auction for a while now, and I think my brain turned the few letters after T2 into Rg when I first looked at the pics. Now I see that it looks more like a capital C. Plus it would have to be a center seconds version to be a regulated version, no?

    Thanks for the replies.

    No.

There are both versions available with the special regulator, sub sec and center sec.

The code on your movement reads 30 T2 PC - "PC" stands for shock protector (French) and not "Rg" which would mean special regulator...

Somewhat related to this watch because of the dial, but to my novice eyes the hands look suspect. Love the 9 on this face, real or not.

The watch has nothing to do with military and is a redial. Even says so in the description.

Those pesky descriptions... so much reading, so little time.

The dial is not correct , the "A" in Omega should be flat at the top, not pointed like the the on this watch, and the secondhand seems à bit short !
