I know it’s a re-dial, I had it done. And no I did not pay too much. Also have have a few www which are origami in every aspect.
Nice watch, redial or not. I got the same reference, found in a shed which got an absolutely necessary redial. Would you show us the case back? Thanks
Looks like it's this one, in which case you did pay too much: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Omega-1940-s-WWW-Dirty-Dozen-Cal-30T2-Wonderful-Condition-Recently-Serviced-/123028845273?hash=item1ca51732d9:g:UMoAAOSwcxVarpZ8&nma=true&si=gegYz1KokoaUW2pVr0TReL%2BQmps%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network With Buyer Protection I am sure you can return it if the re-dial bothers you since the seller advertised it as "The dial in excellent too" and did not mention that it was re-done. Good luck! EDIT: Also looks like the minute hand is cracked where it attaches to the post, better seen in seller's photos.
There are plenty of them out there which are still original. It's just whether you will splash out the premium for them.
Does anyone know where to get NOS hands and crystals for an Omega WWW? I have an Omega dirty dozen watch that needs hands and a crystal. I caught the dirty dozen affliction very recently -- Cyma, Record, and most of an Omega down, 9 1/2 to go! I have a feeling that this hunt will take a LONG time and not be cheap.
Your watchmaker will have NOS crystals, they are still available. But they may have a different, higher profile. Hands are more difficult to get. Start with Cousins or another parts supplier, then check eBay.
Interesting way of describing... 'The dial in excellent too as is the domed crystal, recently serviced and comes with an olive green NATO strap. The dial is showing the Ministry of Defence Tritium lume from the 1940’s as opposed the the radioactive Radium which is still dangerous 70 years on, which it replaces.'
