Good evening. I'm making my way into the vintage world and I'm looking at purchasing this piece. What are the opinions? Is the case back troublesome since it's unmarked? Dial and hands look original and untouched? Lastly, what do you think it's worth? Thank you in advance and I hope one day, that I can contribute to the forum!
The two things that stand out are the fact that the case back is unmarked, which would considerably devalues the watch and strips the piece of its military provenance, IMO. The other thing is the crown which is incorrect. It is too thick and has the wrong profile.
