Evening all, I am new here but I have joined looking for initially advice on what models were produced in 1986. I am 30 this year and would like to purchase a 30 year old Omega. I specifically have an interest in anything seamaster.

So could anyone be so kind as to help with what models I should be looking for? Secondly does anyone know the best place or dealer to find one for me?

    Many Thanks

    Mark

80s wasn't the best era for Omega, but the Reference 2800.50 Seamaster 200M Chronometer AKA the Pre-Bond is an option, as is the Seamaster Polaris Titane, the rest of the Seamasters of the era were pretty ordinary to terrible.

Holy grail Speedy would be a good 1986 find.

I had the same issue. 86 was not a good year for Omega, definitely. If you are not into Speedies (I'm not), and if you don't vociferate against quartz, there's always this: https://omegaforums.net/threads/1984-black-omega-seamster-120-m.23872/

I own one I use as a beater and for swimming. I cost me ~USD120 and I really enjoy wearing it when doing some more heavy housework.
