Hi everyone, I just purchased a new watch (not an Omega) and it came in an Omega box. I was wondering what this box was and what the value of it is and some background on it. Hope someone can help!
It's very hard to get a background on a watch box. From the general look, I'd say this one is from around 1970. If it is less than 10" long, then it was for a ladies watch. Given that it is a "long" box, I would say that it housed a watch on a leather strap, rather than a bracelet. As far as value is concerned, it's worth what someone will pay, as it doesn't has any intrinsic value, say like a watch. However, it can certainly add value to a watch that someone else owns. Take care, gatorcpa
It would be a cool addition for someone with a 1970's Connie. Dealers would probably more interested than individuals, but that's just my thought. To me, buying vintage a box is just gravy, but purchasing a newer model I would want a box.
