I wonder whether it stands for Speedmasters with the 1861 movement. I purchased two this month, Ultraman and CK2998 but there's still two years warranty in the pictogram cards.

Purchased a Seamaster Professional for my hubby yesterday from Omega Boutique as an anniversary present. Was told same thing regarding warranty. He is over the moon right now with his watch by the way. Oh and first post here. Hubby plans on joining soon. I already have a Constellation my father gave me so I am ahead of the curve, lol. Hubby wears his Rolex Submariner and sometimes his Milgaus. Trying to show him the light.

I read the article of Fratello regarding the 5 years warranty. According to Robert, Ultraman will be covered by the 5-years warranty.

In the Fratello article it was mentioned that "What surprised us is that they also applied this new rule for all other watches as well, those with hand-wound chronograph movements (Lémania based), quartz movements and non-Master Chronometer certified automatic movements. In the future, Omega aims at full coverage with their Master Chronometer certification for all of their collection."
Does this mean we are going to see an update to 1861 movement?

This is an excellent move by Omega and I'm very happy to see them make it. While it isn't a huge jump in coverage for their chronometers, this is pretty big for anyone purchasing other movements. I'm personally thrilled that my new CK just got an additional 3yrs warranty!

Pretty sweet – my Globemaster already had great warranty coverage (weren't Master Chronometer movements already five years?), but since it was bought after July 1st from an AD... Guess it's added peace of mind if I manage to add a new Master Co-Ax SM300?

Wow! So does that apply to any watch purchased (new) after that date? All of mine have been acquired since then except one, which was pre-owned so obvs that won’t count. That’s a nice early xmas prezzie from Omega!

Thanks. I’ve since read the press release and so it is. Thought it might be too good to be true, but thankfully not!

What’s even better than an extra year is that now even the non ‘Master’ watches which I thought previously had 2 or 3 years. Recently picked up a quartz Constallation for my better half so extra happy that it too will be covered. Most of mind are Masters, but I have one older non Master PO which it seems will no benefit too. ‘Super’ happy with this news!

This is wonderful news. The warranty card for my FOIS is dated October, 2018. It’s almost like getting a second watch for free.

    Almost.
