Hi,
My grandad left me this watch and I’m just wondering if anyone could tell me if they think it’s real and if so what year it is and any other information they might have on this particular watch. I can’t seem to find anything on google for a seamaster that has like a split dial face like this,
Thanks.

I'm not into Seamasters but based on your photos, you have a Seamaster 2849-3 (per caseback) with a caliber 503 movement. It's actually called a cross-hair dial. There should be a eight digit number on the movement that should tell you the manufacture date if you look it up on various databases. Based on the coat hanger "S" in Seamaster, it should be 1950s to early 1960s.

It also looks legit to me but the photos are very blurry.

Okay I’ve found this number on the back - google is saying 1923? I’m doing something wrong surely 16973486
I’m reading it wrong - 1958 that sounds more like it!

Very real, very nice. A great heirloom to own as a reminder of your grandad. Wear it in good health!
