The hands and dial are not original on the Weems. Good point, it has a locking system. Most of them don't have this crown.

    Hi Jacek,
    Two very desirable pieces.
The first is an Omega Pilot or Omega RAF, with what's called a thin arrow (TA) dial that I believe to be one of the Bienne (Omega) restored examples rather than the highly prized, original TA.
The second is a Weems with replaced dial and handset, also highly coveted, but with obvious flaws.
Crude prices would be $1200-2000 for the first and $1500-2500 or so for the Weems.

I was typing jsut as Tire-C was; he's right, the locking crown difficult to find on most all of the Weems.

depends, jacek. the 1953 omega has the factory replacement dial. the next best thing to the original TA dial. that should bring more than pointed out. the weems has problems with very hard to find parts, if somebody wants that original. if you want to repaint the dial, talk to causemann in Deutschland. good luck ! BTW: what is your family name? I think, we know each other.....kind regards. achim

The caliber number is in the same range although not close to the one of mine. The case serial number is very close to the one of mine. Just for your information, here is a picture of mine, with original hands and dial, but replacement crowns :

rgd. the crowns: have a look at the JLC forum. one of the german moderators had crowns manufactured to the original design a few years ago. gone now. but a wanted to buy may get you the right ones...... kind regards. achim

    Achim,
Zenith, Movado and Omega crowns are the same.
The JLC and Longines are both unique.
