I have a full set 3590.50 with 1211 warranty card, so Germany. The brown FWOTM booklet is in German. However the warranty card is stamped in Korean. Maybe a German duty free company with a branch in Seoul?

Probably not as Hawaii for example has 2052. 5021 is more likely Middle-East and could very well be Lebanon as there are 2 sellers on ebay that have plenty listed of those 5021, and both are from Lebanon.

Thanks, and added to the list. Strange that USA only has one number but Japan and Hong Kong have several.

5322 seems to be Hong Kong

I also found “11220” and “52000”, which both are 5 digits country code.

I believe that the country code is the same as the first 4 digits (omitted a number of 0).

Like this example: 52000 from Hong Kong.
Thanks for the picture from internet.

I have no official knowledge, but I'm not sure that 5322 is Hong Kong - although I think we are sure that 5xxx is the Middle East and Asia region.

The A/AF Service here refers to the U.S. Army & Air Force Exchange Service which supplies US Military personnel with goods globally - tax free and at US Military pricing. So I suspect that this code could reflect that.
Interestingly, Siber Hegner was/is a Swiss "Expansion" company, used to promote Swiss products abroad, so potentially (this is just a guess) also subject to different tax treatment.

I've also seen 5322 referring to Japan and South Korea.

Have just found (and attached) a 5322 from a tax free shop in the Samsung hotel "Shilla" in South Korea and two from Japan, from Asahi and Nagoya.

So maybe 5322 is for East Asia in general and/or something to do with duty free.

I think you may want to have five to ten examples before adding a code to a country on your list - nothing is ever that clear, in my experience, with Omega histories! 😀

The shops in the third photos aren't duty-free; they're just regular retail stores. However, the second photo depicts a store that deals with what we call parallel imports, so there's a chance they might not have sourced their products through Japanese distributors.

Did they purchase and sell from duty-free stores, I wonder?

By the way, I believe the second store is this one.

The third store is the present-day Aeon.

I'll transcribe 'JEWELER' just in case.

Very useful, thanks!!

I had a look back at my warranty archive and there are lots of Japanese stores giving warranties on cards with codes from elsewhere, so I'm beginning to think that they source or buy watches oversees and then over-stamp the warranty cards to effectively issue a local guarantee to their customers.

Here are some codes for which I wouldn't expect to see a Japanese store, mostly which have stickers or tape over:

Thanks, but i just realized the original TS search is for the paper ( vintage ) warranty documents only, better to stick with that in this thread as the plastic cards are much more modern and have more variation as you show, as well as that these could be easily stamped elsewhere.
