    I think there is a better way to spend $1600...:unsure:

    The only things that look original are the case and the movement.

    More likely Israel.

    There's a guy there who experimented over a period with making enamel dials and was selling watches out of South America before he went back to Israel. He's pretty good and restored a Olympic rings dial rather nicely.
