Dear All, i noticed recently taht with their new website omega has remove the acces to the vintage datebase, which was very usefull. Any idea where i could find a similar link ? best regards. Nicolas
am I missing something -or does the Omega database not work for others too? I can open the link but it doesn't recognise any collections if you type them in e.g. 'Constellation' or 'Seamaster' and using the filters I don't fare any better help please!
I think I could click all day long on the filters with no response I can select the filter for say, the collection or calibre -but then there is nothing to say 'search' when I 'return' I just get the message "no results please change your filter settings"
I had that problem too. You don't need to hit search, it automatically populates but you can't see it unless you scroll down.
are you trying to say that 'she' has to get to know you first before giving up the goods...? just tried again (for the hundredth time) and still no go -might be a Mac thing?
Hmm... tell me what steps are you taking? Once you search, you have to scroll down (below the fold) to see the results. It's poor website design but they probably don't have much incentive to change that.
I open the page click 'filter by' select drop down for collections select constellation (box turns red) nothing happens and pressing return does nothing select close filters message: "no results please change your filter settings" any offers on what i'm doing wrong?
Hmm. Have you tried typing Constellation into the search box? That was what worked for me - my searches were "Railmaster" and "2913" - though "Seamaster 300" did not return any results.
yep tried that -amongst other things like 'seamster' no joy never mind -I'll try with a PC at work on sunday and see if that works thanks for trying to help!
Huh. Sorry to hear it - one last suggestion would be to try downloading Chrome or Firefox (I used the latter) to see if it's maybe just a browser issue.
This data base used to be so good. I remember like 6-7 years ago when you could find all the info you ever needed including retail price of the watch when new the strap size it takes etc. since it's updated and the layout changed it is becoming a joke and extremely hard to search, doesn't find the right watch etc. Such a shame as it was my (and many other forums members') no.1 research page... FYI this is how it used to look like? (photo stolen from another forum)
No, you're not missing anything...on the annoyance scale it's a 9 out of 10. Nothing you type in it is recognised, even correctly typed Reference numbers which follow Omega's own suggested format etc. etc. Fiddling around with the filters you eventually get there. I type the most generic information and then a long list appears whcih I go through until I find the right reference... It's a sheer joy to use...not!
I tried it at work on my PC using Chrome worked fine I took chrome off my mac as it was only 32 bit The new site is awful What was Omega thinking of...?
