I'm curious of the date and or model of this watch. It needs a bit of cleaning, but it seems to be operating just fine. Any info you might want to share would be greatly appreciated.

Looks like 14393 in gold. First Constellation calendar came out in 1960.

14393/14381 model has a screw-down caseback. This watch is more like a 2943, cal 504.

Ah. I did read that thread. I saw a lot of similarities, but wasn't sure. Is the only real easy of knowing it's date or number to open the back?

For the reference, yes. Only way to check that it’s the right movement, case back etc too.

The serial on the movement will give you a rough idea regarding its age. Emphasis on rough.

I was able to get these photos yesterday. Should help with a bit more information. Looks like it's maybe 1958 or so

Yep, the info is there to read. Ask your watchmaker to address possible rotor rub during next service. No polishing.
Thanks. It's in for service now

Got it back from servicing. New crystal included. I asked for no polish, just a cleaning on the case. Not sure that's what I got. Keeps good time now. Switched out the band as well.
