Hi all,

quick question but has anyone receive their box set yet? I've only heard of one report thus far, about a month ago of someone on WatchPurist receiving their box set.

Anyone else? Any promised date? I was told I'd get mine in June 2017, obviously that didn't happen. I bought mine from an AD, not a boutique (they were allocated one).

Cheers,

Erik

Ordered mine from a boutique back in March 2017. 3 days after Basel.
Was also told June. So far, Nada...

Did you have to pay in full for the set or just a DP?

That is absolutely ridiculous that it has happened like that.

I just don't understand how a company as large as this group gets behind the ball like this.

Wow. That is truly absurd.

Shame you could only purchase the trilogy via an AD, I think your leverage via an OB would be greater in this sort of situation. Still, if you purchased via an authorized AD, Omega still have to fulfill the AD order and not prioritize OB orders first.

I assume your AD is willing to give you a full refund, right? Perhaps time to start a conversation with your lawyer and initiate a paper trail both with the AD and Omega if things turn nasty.

Amazing how frequently Omega shoot themselves in the foot on the distribution side of their business. Any client investing in the trilogy (AD or OB) should have been treated with VIP status and if there were issues during manufacturing clear communication would have been important during the process.

In your shoes I would be so pissed off with the brand I would be asking for a refund by now and looking to spend your consumer dollars elsewhere. Based on what was launched at SIHH 2018 there are wonderful new products being launched this year, many with excellent value proposition...for around US$22K could purchase a SS VC fifty-six day-date and still have spare change for a SS Cartier Drive Extra-Flat!

FTR I have never faced this sort of issue with my local OB, who have been great in communicating delays in the past etc. I do hope for Omega's sake that someone is indeed reading the OF and capturing the bad vibes and getting this feedback communicated at the highest level within the organization.

On a more hopeful note, I have seen on some forums some members receiving the trilogy this week...

So fingers crossed, you might get yours in Feb, hopefully also with some major sucking up / grovelling by both the AD and Omega!

This is an OMEGA USA problem isn’t it? I’ve never been asked for down payments for watches in Europe.

I still very much want the box set so I won't be asking for a refund. My AD has done everything they could, I can't blame them and wouldn't have to lawyer up if I were to ask for a refund. They probably would be happy to oblige anyway and could easily sell the pre-order to someone else. They've been good through the process.

Yeah man that sucks I'm sorry you are having to deal with that, hopefully when it arrives you will at that time feel like it was worth the wait.

Have all box sets been sold? Did Omega really ask their best customers an $11M interests-free loan of indefinite length?

I really don’t understand this custom of watch companies announcing products many months before they are available and without a clear timeline, it can only be frustrating for the customer. Truly absurd, are they running like a Kickstarter project?

It is getting a bit out of hand I have to admit....I had to pay full up front as well and I placed the order/payment day after Basel for the trilogy set.......now we're starting to get to the latter of January and still no set......I'm a patient guy as I haven't said anything to my boutique but this does not inspire confidence in future "LE's" they try to push asking for full payment.....just so you guys know it's happening to boutique customers as well.....

I know of two delivered in London in Dec (one of which is mine 😀). Would have thought that most are out by now.

Seems like a lot of flak that the ST has been taking has little to do with the ST and is simply down to wider issues at Omega at the moment. It’s bad enough waiting a year for a watch, but waiting that long having already paid in advance, and still getting now comms on what’s happening..yeesh!
