Hi I have bought from a leading UK auction house Bonhams this presentation Omega Tresor watch given to an Olympic gold medalist from Finland in the Melbourne games in 1956. I think she looks a beaut, but I am prepared for my bubble to be burst. I have provenance documentation from the family and the movement looks sweet and the inner backplate looks on the money.

Thoughts?

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the purchase. I don't see any reason to be concerned about it. There are some obvious condition issues, but it would seem to be legit.

Thanks! I love its patina and dont want to "restore" it to like new. I love the character. I had a Moser monopoussoir chronograph gold 1912 wristwatch once with original leather strap and it was perfect inside and out. But i suspect it had been kept in a safe for 100 plus years, lol. I couldnt risk wearing it. Head valuer in Antiquorum in Geneva called it a work of art. This is more practical. Have a great day.
