    Hi,

I would like to ask you if this Omega ref. 2685 in pink gold is totally ok (dial, hands, crown).

In particular, the serial number inside the back side has only six figures and not eight figures as usual.

omegawatches.com reports this particular model only in steel and a size of 37,5mm, but I think it could be wrong because this is in pink gold with a size of 35,5mm without crown...

    https://www.omegawatches.com/planet-omega/heritage/vintage-details/19642/

    Thank you

The only explanation I have for the size difference is that it's not a 2685 or you are measuring incorrectly. As you know, based on the reference number stamped in the back, it should be 37.5mm. This listing shows it was available in 18k gold: http://naligazone.com/index.php/data-watch/omega/13-watch/omega/177
The 8 digit serial number is on the movement, not the case back.

    Thank you for your reply.
I have not personally measured it. I read any posts that communicate this size (35,5mm), so now I am a little confused about size...
I would be very happy if it would be a 37.5mm. in size.

I'm talking about the number inside the caseback above the reference 2685.

I am sure that Trésors were made in solid gold only, no steel for this line.
Your watch looks like 37.5mm in diameter and the case back is correct even it is missing 2 digits.
    I have a 2687 powered by a 266 in 14 mil serial # and the serial # on case back is 11.310.XXX

What about the dial? Original or repainted?

The letter "A" and the letter "G" are different, and also the subsecond radial.

I think the OP's dial is genuine - not sure about the lume though.

Most if not all of online listings for ref 2685 indicate 35.5-36mm, so Omega spec could be incorrect, or all those sellers got the measurement wrong and none got it right ;)

Could anyone help me about the ref. 2685 size please?

    Other opinion about the dial?

    Thank you

The Omega database says a 2685 should be a 37,5 mm watch, and obviously we should trust that - the database does not permit to be sure about dials, as models came with different sets of dials and hands, but it is usually accurate concerning cases. But the Omega database is clearly mixing things up for this model: collection "Tresor" and "OT" (meaning solid gold case), but "stainless steel" case... So there could be another mistake with the size of the case.

Seeing your pic of the movement, it is hard to tell - the movement is a 30mm. But I would say it looks rather like a 35,5 mm watch.

Last info: I had a 2685 I just sold on OF, and it was a 35,5 mm. So I guess you have your answer!

I can't understand if the dial is ok or not.
What do you think (clearly please )?

I think your dial is original and was cleaned at sometime in the past.
And about the size of the case, after looking carefully at yours, I think it is a bit smaller than mine that means it is about 35 (?).
The movement is 30mm then comes the metal spacer and the gold case make it 37.5mm.
    Yours is a bit smaller.

The more I look at the dial, the more I wonder if the lume is correct. This kind of hour markers usually comes without lume - at least without lume ON the markers! - and I am wondering if someone changed the dial and added some lume to match the hands - or changed the hands, etc. Maybe, as Hoipolloi suggested, someone cleaned the dial and add some lume on the markers. As the dial is correct and looks correct for the reference, I would chose the last hypothesis.

I could be too suspicious though, and with old Omega dials, almost everything is possible!

Perhaps the lume is too perfect to be added later.

Otherwise, if you look at nine index , where the index has lost its lume, there is no adapt space for lume.

I agree the points of lume are OK. But I am not sure they should be here - I mean on the markers. And if there is not enough space to put some lume between the marker and the end of the dial, could be because this dial was not supposed to have lume. If this last hypothesis is true, the dial could be correct to the watch but not the hands.

    Actually, I am just wondering...

    Would you buy it?

Which is the right price in you opinion?

They ask me 750 euros... Too much?

If the dial was cleaned, lume was added and hands are wrong, I would not buy it.
