Hi all

Looking for a quick take on the Omega Tokyo Blue Bezel White face Seamaster https://www.omegawatches.com/en-gb/w...52230422004001

I have been almost exclusively Rolex the last few years and looking to broaden my collection and not have to deal with the silly dance we need to to get the model we want at retail for Rolex.

I like the look of this one, I don't have a white face watch and the combination of the blue and white is very appealing to me.

Omega seem to have a lot of limited editions and this seems like a limited production piece - how collectible is this within the WIS Omega group and has anyone bought it or tried it on with an opinion? I can imagine it looking brilliant on a white and blue nato.

Alternatively as its my first foray in to Omega for a good few years should I look at the new speedmasters?

Thanks for reading and chatting watches.

It was indeed produced in limited numbers (I think 2020?) and lately many people seemed to be chasing it only to find it has been sold out everywhere. At this point prices on Chrono24 seem to be stable (a bit above retail) and it's difficult to say where they will go. As the 300M is one of the more popular watches in the Omega catalog and the regular production white/black was already a success I can see the Tokyo becoming sought after.

Personally I think it's the most beautiful 300M ever made 馃榾

If you have the opportunity to get one I would get this watch because I like the white dial with blue. Omega do make the watch in white dial but with black hands and black bezel, but not in this blue combination. The Tokyo also is unique With the NAIAD Lock caseback and a Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games emblem decorated on the sapphire crystal caseback. The production watch also has a sapphire case back , and the OMEGA Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8800, but not the NAIAD Lock. From a collectors stand point the watch does seem to be limited in it's production, don't know if more are coming out. If next year, Omega sells the white dial, blue bezel, blue hands on the regular production watch, then it makes the Tokyo 2020 only slightly different because of the NAIAD case back and the Tokyo logo.
