Omega T17 opinions/valuation

Hello,

New to this forum.

Have this Omega T17 that my grandfather left for me when he died, without any further info. I have been looking around the www but can't find any other T17 with this specifik dial. Anyone ever seen it before, or have any info on it? The hands have a dark blue hue to them that doesn't show in the pictures, and also the central circle and seconds frame is a slightly cream color comoared to the rest of the dial which is more of a warm silver.

Also, any opinions on potential value on a watch like this would be much appreciated! I will never sell it, but would be interesting to know where we're at.

Best regards,
Mikkel Erik

Interesting that you would "never sell it", but are seeking a valuation.

It appears to be a very nice, well-preserved, original example. If you provide the case dimensions (in mm), it would be possible for some experienced collectors to assess its approximate value.

If the silver dial is not 2 tone, then it is repainted.small second hand is ok, hour and minute hand don't look correct. I had a few of these dial configurations over the last 30 years. The value depends on the dial. This straight forward case is the lest desirable case design. If everything checks out with that dial, the value is around $ 600 .

Actually a caliber 20F and possibly early 30's due to the wire lugs

Dial looks refinished. Just too clean and hands don't look correct. Might have been NY styled or broad sword design

Look at Ebays completed auctions and search on Omega caliber 20F

This example is a T17 with a dial different to the subject watch, and no seconds hand. Also, sadly, it is without a case! 🫨Based on other Omega T17 models that have been shown on the O B, I believe the hands are original. But chances are there were several hand styles, depending on the dial.

Hejsa Mikkel 😀

I agree with the point about it possibly having been cleaned as it should be two-tone, but it is difficult to tell from the photo.

Here is my very similar Tissot:

Hello all,

Thx for your helpful replies! The dial is indeed a very distinct two tone, it’s just doesn’t show on the photo.
