Hi All, I'm back to vintage Omega after a brief period with other brands. I've come across a Suveran where caseback and movement look correct. I cannot, however, find a similar dial. It's a 2400-7, and mostly what I've found are two tone black and gold. Serial dates it to 1945, with the 30T2 movement. I would appreciate any Suveran expertise the vintage forum could offer on the dial. Thanks. Patrick
Hello @bubba48 Interesting advertisement below your watch. I have a redialed Suverän from 1944 and would very much like to see a photo of your ad. I don't think it would be off-topic to post in this thread if you have the time - thanks!
Who can be sure? But after have seen many hundreds of Suveräns, i would expect that dial on an early reference. This is a 2400-5
A big thank you to the OF community. The mixed opinions mirrored my findings as well. While rarer, it does appear the Suveran 2400-7 did come in this dial version. Still on the fence about purchasing.
Hey! I found this photo very familiar thus did a quick search. Turns out it was taken by Omega Enthusiast. Below is a link to this watch sold previously. I trust that he knows his stuffs and this piece should be ok Believe that it is the only non-lume model in this reference. http://omegaenthusiast.com/omesuveranssnonelumeFull.html
I have owned in the past a suveran ref 2400-7 with this exact same dial. I can tell you that i have seen many others like it too. I believe it to be the only suveran model with non lume dial at least the only one i've seen. All of these dials wer ealso fitted in 2400-7 cases.
