That's a nice stop watch, worth £45 only, a bargain... I buy it anytime.

The Omega two pusher split timer was commonly used in motor-racing, cycling and motocross. Someone offered this to me last Sunday. Sorry about the low quality.

Omega made both split second timers (stopwatches) and chronographs (which show real time in addition to the ‘timer’ function) – both using Lemania movements. Yours is not just a ‘stopwatch’, it is a chronograph.

There is a good coverage of all the ‘Olympics’ in the Omega book ‘A Journey Through Time’, the MG1185 is on Page 572. The section covers the movement and a description.

You included the word ‘price’ in your post – does that mean you’re looking for a value? Do you want to keep your Grandpa’s watch, value it for insurance, or sell it? Prices vary a lot (of course) depending on point of sale (eBay, auction, private sale etc): I guess yours might be between $1000 and $1500 (others might disagree).

    I hope that helps.

Late to the party, I'm afraid, but interested because I have the exact Lemania model from which this Omega is derived, case, face, hands and all. On which basis I suspect this *is* just a stopwatch, albeit a really marvellous one. It looks like the MG1185 model with the superb Lemania 1520 movement, which had a 12-hour counter as well as its rattrapante and flyback functions, with all the hands around a centre pinion. But no independent time-of-day function. Easy way to check is simply to run the watch for a couple of minutes and then press the reset (right) button. If all the hands reset, it's "just" a stopwatch; if the hour and minute hands stay running, it's a chronograph.

    Mine below.

    I also have something similar.
Any idea what was the purpose it was build for?
You do not see very ofter stopwatches that can be fixed on something.
Also what can be the today’s value.
Many thx for the help :)
