    Hi all,
Can anyone tell me if Omega has the Same type of stolen data base for their watches like Rolex. I have recently bought a few Omega watches and would like to know if they can be verified.

    Regards ,
    M

It seems they do (dunno at what level). I once sold a Omega on the High street (london) and the dealer consulted an " Omega stolen db" before handing me out the money's.

There are private registries for stolen items in the jewelry etc business. There are also local stolen goods registries in some cities (perhaps London)
Omega does not maintain a registry for watches stolen:

    Dear Mr XXXXXXX
We thank you for your e-mail (the first one did not reach us) and very
much regret that your Omega Seamaster watch was stolen.

As far as the recovery of your timepiece is concerned, we have to
inform you that according to our experience, there is unfortunately little
chance that such watches turn up again at the factory as there is no
systematic control within our dealers or service centres throughout the
    world.

We are sorry not to be able to give you any better news.
    With kind regards,

    Maria Mastrodonato

This brings up the question if a watch was stolen, then sold to a legitimate buyer who does not know / can't verify it was stolen and it did show up at omega would it really be just for them to take it and give it back to the original owner? I know I would be mad if that happened and I was that second guy, not that I try to but stolen watches but with used watches, especially vintages the history if ussualy lost and no way someone has the recipt from 1960.

You are projecting a scenario that does not exist.
    Omega fixes watches.
Either through legitimate warranty holders or through paying customers, period.
It does not keep information or reports of stolen merchandise. It does not research the origins of watches or their owner.
There is nothing more to add to this.

You might try a Google search. People post on various fora by Serial Number, model etc. when watches are stolen.
